Biographical Note: Robert H. Roy was professor of industrial engineering, The Johns Hopkins University. He was born in Baltimore, MD in 1900. After receiving the B.E. degree from Hopkins in 1928, he joined Waverly Press, Inc. in Balto. At the Press, he was actively involved in engineering research and development of new equipment in the printing field. In 1949, Roy returned to teach at Hopkins.
